Visegrad+ Project Grants by the International Visegrad Fund

Ukrainian organizations can now apply for the Visegrad+ project grant competition by the International Visegrad Fund. This opportunity not only strengthens regional cooperation but also helps implement meaningful interdisciplinary initiatives in the Eastern Partnership region or the Western Balkans.

About the program

The Visegrad+ program supports cross-regional cooperation in culture, education, innovation, public policy, social development, environment, and media. Moreover, its goal is to foster collaboration, promote democratic values, and encourage scientific mobility and innovation. As a result, participating organizations can expand their reach and impact.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants include NGOs, educational and research institutions, municipalities, public authorities, nonprofit startups, and innovative companies. In addition, universities may submit only one application per department or structural unit, which ensures fair competition.

Ukrainian organizations may apply both as coordinators and partners. To qualify, projects must involve at least two partners from the Visegrad Group countries (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic). This requirement helps strengthen international cooperation from the very beginning.

What is funded

The program funds projects that:
– strengthen regional cooperation and civil society
– promote cultural and educational exchange
– support innovation, entrepreneurship, and scientific mobility
– address climate change, promote sustainable tourism, and protect the environment

Consequently, this funding allows participants to transform good ideas into impactful initiatives.

How to apply

Applicants should submit their proposals via the official website.

Budget and deadline

The grant amount usually ranges from €25,000 to €35,000, covering 100% of the project budget. Furthermore, the maximum support can reach €50,000.
Projects can last up to 18 months, giving teams enough time to achieve meaningful results.
Applications must be submitted by October 1, 2025, so early preparation is strongly recommended.

Why apply now

By joining the Visegrad+ program, Ukrainian organizations gain funding, build stronger partnerships, and create long-lasting regional impact. Therefore, this is an excellent moment to prepare a competitive proposal and strengthen your presence in the region.
