Visegrad+ Grants for Large-Scale Projects and European Integration

Visegrad+ Grants for Large-Scale Projects and European Integration

The Visegrad+ Grants Programme of the International Visegrad Fund serves as a financial instrument that supports projects promoting democratisation, civil society development, and regional cooperation.

In particular, the programme focuses on partnerships between the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia) and the Eastern Partnership countries, including Ukraine. Therefore, it represents a suitable funding opportunity for organisations planning large-scale cross-border initiatives.

Priority areas

Projects supported under the Visegrad+ Grants programme may address one or more of the following priority areas:

  • Culture and shared identity, including heritage preservation, artistic exchanges, and joint festivals;
  • Education and capacity building, such as training programmes, academic mobility, and educational platforms;
  • Innovation, research, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on startups and digital transformation;
  • Democratic values and media, including freedom of expression, countering disinformation, and human rights;
  • Public policy and institutional effectiveness, especially through the exchange of governance experience;
  • Regional development, environment, and tourism;
  • Social development, including inclusion, healthcare, and youth engagement.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants include legal entities such as non-governmental organisations, educational institutions, municipalities, and research institutes.

Moreover, projects must be implemented in partnership. At a minimum, the consortium must involve organisations from three V4 countries and one organisation from Ukraine or another Eastern Partnership country.

Funding and duration

The programme provides substantial financial support for collaborative projects.

  • The grant may cover up to 100% of the project budget;
  • The average grant size typically ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 EUR;
  • The project duration may last up to 18 months.
