RIBBON International and the Mystetskyi Arsenal, in partnership with the NGO “Mystetskyi Arsenal Community,” announce an open call for Ukrainian museums and cultural institutions that work with visual art. The Museum Futures program supports innovation, institutional growth, and the implementation of trauma-informed approaches in museum practices.
Program Objectives
The program aims to strengthen museums and cultural organizations as dynamic and creative institutions that foster collaboration, learning, and innovation. It provides resources for developing new practices, supporting professional growth, and building sustainable connections between Ukrainian and international institutions.
Main Goals
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and professional development within museums, NGOs, and cultural institutions;
- Support Ukrainian museums as a community and promote inter-institutional collaboration;
- Foster partnerships between heritage-based institutions in Ukraine and abroad;
- Promote transformative initiatives aimed at developing trauma-informed approaches in museums.
Who Can Apply
Applications are open to:
- Art museums from all regions of Ukraine;
- NGOs working closely with museums or supporting their operations;
- Other museums, archives, and cultural institutions that manage significant visual art collections or present contemporary art (painting, graphics, photography, cinema, or media art).
Funding
Grants range from $8,000 to $15,000 and can be used to implement research, educational, or exhibition projects, or to develop new methods in collection management, audience engagement, and cultural communication.
