Grant Assistance under the “KUSANONE” Program by the Government of Japan
Applications Open Until February 28, 2025
The Government of Japan is accepting applications for the “KUSANONE” Grant Assistance Program until February 28, 2025. This program offers a unique opportunity to secure funding for projects aimed at improving the quality of life and fostering community development. The funded projects will be implemented in 2026.
Program Goals
The “KUSANONE” Program is dedicated to supporting initiatives that address fundamental human needs, including:
- Health and safety,
- Improving social conditions,
- Providing essential resources.
In addition to traditional focus areas like healthcare and education, applications are also welcomed for projects related to:
- Agriculture,
- Mental health recovery,
- Rehabilitation of war victims.
Grant Amount
The average budget for a single project is 10 million yen (approximately USD 72,000 as of January 2025). The exact amount will depend on currency exchange rates.
Eligibility Criteria
Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:
- Have been operational for at least two years,
- Have experience in the relevant project field,
- Have previously funded projects using their own or external resources.
