Within the Erasmus+ programme, the European Union has opened the call Partnerships for Innovation – Alliances for Education and Enterprises (ERASMUS-EDU-2026-PI-ALL-INNO-EDU-ENTERP). Through this initiative, the EU strengthens cooperation between education providers and businesses in order to develop innovative learning approaches, improve skills relevance and actively support the green and digital transitions of the European economy.
About the programme Partnerships for Innovation
Alliances for Education and Enterprises promote transnational partnerships that jointly design, test and implement innovative educational solutions. In particular, the programme addresses skills mismatches between education systems and labour market needs. At the same time, it fosters long-term strategic cooperation between academia and employers.
Moreover, projects are expected to drive systemic change by introducing new collaboration models, modern curricula and training pathways that directly respond to economic, technological and societal challenges.
Main objectives of the call
- strengthening the innovation capacity of education and training systems;
- developing entrepreneurial, digital and green skills;
- aligning education programmes with the concrete needs of business and industry;
- supporting economic transformation through innovation and knowledge.
Supported activities
Under this call, the programme supports projects that actively:
- jointly develop, pilot and implement innovative curricula, courses or modules together with enterprises;
- establish new cooperation models between higher education, vocational education and training providers, and businesses;
- enhance knowledge transfer, applied research and innovation in education;
- create solutions that partners can scale up and replicate across countries and sectors.
