EU Grants for Restoring Contaminated Ukrainian Territories: Biotech and Ecological Solutions

Programme: Horizon Europe – “Clean Environment and Zero Pollution 2026–2027”  ·  For: business, research institutions, local authorities

This is the largest grant in the digest, available under the Horizon Europe programme – up to EUR 6,000,000. It supports consortia developing biotechnological and ecological solutions for the remediation of contaminated territories in Ukraine. UCF Competition “Zaporizhzhia: Cultural Stronghold” – Grants Up to UAH 800,000

Organiser: Ukrainian Cultural Fund (UCF)  ·  Target region: Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The UCF competition supports cultural and artistic projects that increase engagement of Zaporizhzhia residents with cultural life, preserve regional identity and counter Russian propaganda. The total lot budget is UAH 8,000,000, with support allocated to between 10 and 20 projects.

Funded formats include artistic performances, exhibitions, festivals, digital cultural products (archives, 3D models, multimedia), educational projects in culture, podcasts, radio content and inclusive cultural events.

Social Startups and Youth Entrepreneurship

Social Impact Award Ukraine 2026 – Incubator for Social Startups with Prizes up to EUR 1,500

Organiser: SIA / School of ME  ·  For: youth aged 14–30

Social Impact Award is Europe’s largest programme for young social entrepreneurs, having supported over 1,363 startups across more than 25 countries since 2009. In Ukraine in 2026, two parallel programmes are running: SIA Incubation (3-month training, mentoring, final pitch) and Discovery Journey.

The 10 strongest social startup ideas advance to a free 3-month incubation (July–September). The three finalists at the pitch event each receive EUR 1,500 and a ticket to the international SIA Summit 2026 in Europe. Both early-stage ideas and ventures already in operation (founded after 1 January 2025) are eligible.

DRC: Grants of USD 1,000–5,000 for Micro, Small and Medium Businesses in Kharkiv Oblast

Organiser: Danish Refugee Council (DRC)  ·  Region: Kharkiv Oblast

DRC provides grants to micro, small and medium business owners in communities of Kharkiv Oblast. Funds may be used to purchase equipment, tools and production materials needed to operate or launch a business. The programme aims to stabilise and restore entrepreneurial activity in a region that has been severely affected by the war.
