The Creative Europe programme has launched the Creative Innovation Lab (CREA-CROSS-2025-INNOVLAB), a call that supports innovative solutions for the audiovisual sector and cultural and creative industries (CCIs). The initiative encourages cross-sector collaboration and promotes the creation of new European content. It also helps organisations adopt emerging technologies that can transform the way cultural products are produced, distributed, and experienced.
Programme Overview
The competition focuses on designing, testing, and scaling practical solutions that combine technology and culture. Because many creative industries face rapid digital changes, the call offers teams an opportunity to develop tools and models that address real sector needs. In addition, it prioritises the use of AI, blockchain, big data, virtual environments, and other technologies that can shape the future of the European creative economy.
Eligible Activities
- developing new content formats using experimental or emerging technologies;
- creating business models, platforms, or digital tools for production, financing, distribution, or promotion of content through AI, big data, blockchain, or NFT applications;
- implementing environmentally sustainable practices that reduce the ecological footprint of cultural and creative sectors, in line with the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus.
Who Can Apply
The call is open to organisations from Creative Europe countries working in cultural, creative, technological, or audiovisual sectors. Consortia that combine different areas of expertise are strongly encouraged to apply, since cross-sector cooperation is one of the programme’s core aims.

- co-funding rate: 80% of eligible costs;
