Creative Europe: Grants for Journalistic Collaborations

Ukrainian media have a unique opportunity to receive up to €2,000,000 to implement large-scale international projects aimed at improving journalism. The “Creative Europe” program invites organizations seeking to introduce innovations and raise standards in the media sphere to participate.

Grant Opportunities:

  • Conducting journalism training and exchange programs.
  • Providing small grants to support initiatives.
  • Testing new technical solutions for newsrooms.
  • Initiating discussions to improve editorial standards.

The project duration can be up to two years, with the grant covering up to 80% of the costs.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Experience in conducting courses or providing grants.
  • Status as a non-profit, governmental, or private media organization, journalism fund, media association, or educational institution targeting media professionals.
  • Legal registration (including individual entrepreneurs).
  • Official registration in Ukraine for more than two years.
  • Partnerships with at least two organizations from different EU or associated countries.

Required Documents for Application:

  • Team information.
  • Project description: relevance, concept, task distribution, communication strategy, and activity plan.
  • Project budget.
  • Data on ownership structure.
  • Declaration of standards and independence.
  • Delegation letter from partners.

All documents must be submitted in PDF format. Templates are available on the competition’s official website.

Application Process:

  1. Obtain an EU login.
  2. Register your organization and partners to receive a PIC number.
  3. Find the competition on the Funding and Tenders Opportunity Portal, complete the online form, and upload the necessary documents.

The application deadline is February 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM Kyiv time.

The competition results within the “Creative Europe” program will be announced in August 2025.
