The “Women’s Opportunities in Ukraine” Foundation has announced a new mini-grant competition for women entrepreneurs who create Ukrainian crafts — from cosmetics, textiles, and decor to food, beverages, and handmade jewelry. Craftswomen Grant Competition aims to unite craftswomen and help them present their work through creative collaborations ahead of the winter holidays.
About the Craftswomen Grant Competition
The competition supports women who combine creativity, business skills, and social responsibility. It encourages participants to form small teams of two to four artisans and design a shared product concept — a gift box or themed collection that reflects Ukrainian identity. The products may include handmade cosmetics, home decor, textiles, jewelry, or food items. Each project should tell a story and highlight the authenticity of Ukrainian craftsmanship.
The main goal is to show that Ukrainian craft can be both traditional and modern. Moreover, it promotes cooperation and mutual support among women entrepreneurs. The program helps participants strengthen their businesses, expand their visibility, and enter new markets through collaboration.
Funding and Grant Use
Each collaboration can receive up to 50,000 UAH to bring their idea to life. The grant may be used for packaging, branding, photography, video shooting, marketing, logistics, or promotional events. As a result, participants will be able to improve their presentation, attract more customers, and increase sales.
In addition, the program creates opportunities for networking. Craftswomen from different regions can connect, exchange experiences, and create joint collections that represent both creativity and solidarity. Through collaboration, they can reach a broader audience and build stronger local businesses.
Who Can Apply
The competition is open to women entrepreneurs, artisans, and small business owners working in the Ukrainian craft industry. Each application must include a partnership between at least two craftswomen. Preference will be given to ideas that demonstrate creativity, sustainability, and social value.

The application must include a short description of the team, the idea, and the implementation plan. It is advisable to submit the application early to have time for review and possible adjustments.
