The East Europe Foundation, together with the European Union, has launched the “Act to Drive Change” competition for civil society organizations. The program supports digital solutions that tackle social challenges and foster Ukraine’s integration into the EU. Therefore, civic tech teams now have a real opportunity to secure funding and mentoring support for their projects.
Programme Overview
The competition combines financial support with an acceleration program. Its goal is to promote innovative tools that strengthen government transparency, improve interaction with citizens, and encourage social cohesion. In addition, participants can develop mobile applications, chatbots, online platforms, interactive websites, or dashboards that drive meaningful change.
Who Can Apply
Ukrainian NGOs, charitable organizations, and associations of local self-government bodies with non-profit status can apply. Moreover, all projects must focus on creating or improving digital solutions that respond directly to public needs.
What Is Funded
The organizers will select ten winners, and each team will receive up to €35,000. As a result, participants can finance both the technical development and the practical implementation of their civic tech solutions. In addition, winners will join a mentoring and acceleration program that will help refine their ideas and increase sustainability.
Deadline and Budget
Each project may receive up to €35,000, and the implementation period can last up to nine months. The process includes three clear stages: an ideathon, a two-month acceleration program, and finally a Demo Day, where teams will present their solutions and compete for funding.
How to Apply
You can find full competition details and the application form on the official Act to Drive Change website.
This initiative actively strengthens the civic tech ecosystem in Ukraine. It encourages organizations to adopt modern digital approaches, address pressing social challenges, and create new opportunities for integration into the European community.
