Brave1 and the Ukrainian Startup Fund, in cooperation with mono and with support from the Innovation Development Fund, have opened applications for Brave Students: Pitch Drive by mono. The event will take place on 14 March in Kyiv and will bring together student defence and dual-use teams with key industry stakeholders.
The organisers created this initiative to strengthen direct cooperation between student innovators and defence companies. Today’s security environment demands fast and applicable technological solutions. Therefore, the programme focuses on projects that teams can integrate into real production and operational contexts without delay.
Who can apply
Student startups working in the defence or dual-use sectors may apply. In addition, teams affiliated with startup schools, incubators or accelerators will receive priority during selection.
Participation format
- up to 10 teams will present their projects;
- each team will deliver a 3-minute pitch;
- the jury will conduct up to 10 minutes of Q&A;
- industry representatives, including defence manufacturers, venture funds, investors and accelerators, will evaluate the projects.
After the public pitching session, the organisers will arrange dedicated office hours. During these individual meetings, teams can discuss pilot launches, product integration and long-term cooperation with manufacturers and R&D units. As a result, participants can move from presentation to practical collaboration.
