Horizon Europe — Cluster 6
The European Commission has launched a new call for proposals under Horizon Europe (Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment). Specifically, the call HORIZON-CL6-2026-03-GOVERNANCE-02 focuses on the transition to sustainable agriculture and food systems. In essence, it funds projects that help agricultural producers adapt to EU environmental standards, adopt innovative solutions, and strengthen the resilience of the farming sector.
Who Can Apply for Sustainable Agriculture grant?
The call is open to organisations forming international consortia from countries associated with Horizon Europe. In particular, the following entities are eligible:
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs);
- Research institutions;
- Universities;
- Civil society organisations.
What Is Funded?
Projects may cover a range of relevant topics. Specifically, supported activities include:
- Implementation of sustainable agricultural practices;
- Development of innovative solutions in agriculture;
- Improvement of environmental efficiency in food production;
- Support for a just transition for farms and rural communities.
Funding Amount
The total call budget is up to €6,000,000. Consequently, the funding allocated to each project will depend on the consortium’s scope and the agreed cost estimate. All grants follow standard Horizon Europe financial rules.
