Introduction

The East Europe Foundation, within the framework of the Phoenix: Strength of Communities project and with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, announces a grant competition for civil society organizations. This is an opportunity for CSOs to strengthen their communities, adapt to martial law conditions, and enhance integration into the European space.

Program Overview

The program aims to support civil society organizations in restoring local communities, improving the quality of public services, and fostering social cohesion. In addition to funding, selected organizations will receive organizational development opportunities, participation in online courses, and professional networking.

Who Can Apply

Non-profit organizations registered in Ukraine with at least two years of experience are eligible to apply.

What Will Be Funded

  • Needs assessment of communities and development of solutions for restoring social infrastructure
  • Creation or update of development strategies, local programs, and community plans
  • Improvement of public services (social, educational, medical, etc.)
  • Support for social cohesion and cooperation among residents
  • Promotion of economic self-realization (especially for women, youth, IDPs, veterans)
  • Inclusivity of public spaces and workplaces
  • Psychosocial support for the population
  • Work with veterans, youth, and grassroots citizen groups

Funding

The competition will support 15 organizations. The grant size ranges from UAH 1,100,000 to UAH 1,600,000.
