The Allianz Foundation Grants Program 2025 is now open for applications. The Foundation provides funding for initiatives in the areas of civil society, ecology, culture, and the arts, with a particular focus on projects that operate at the intersection of these fields and aim for systemic change.
Who Can Apply?
The Allianz Foundation invites organizations from Europe and the Mediterranean region to submit applications for the grants program. Any organization working in one of the following areas is eligible to apply:
- Arts and Culture
- European Civil Society
- Climate and Environment
Applications from organizations led by women, youth, and/or marginalized groups are especially encouraged. Additionally, the Foundation supports projects that use participatory approaches and actively engage their target groups in the development of the project.
Key Criteria for Application
To submit a successful application, your project must meet several key criteria:
Clear Impact Plan and Systematic Approach
The project must have a clear impact plan and a systematic approach, seeking solutions beyond predefined paths. Applicants should specifically define the problem they aim to address and describe how the project will help solve it.
Sustainable Vision Beyond the Project
The project must present a sustainable vision that goes beyond its implementation period. It is important to demonstrate how the project will remain useful after the funding period ends.
Trans-local Dimension
The project should have a global scope, but at the same time, be closely connected to the local environment. It is important that the project addresses global issues while focusing on local changes.
Responsible Use of Natural Resources
The project should propose an ecologically sustainable approach, responsibly using natural resources and developing strategies that promote sustainable development.
Thematic Areas for Application
The Allianz Foundation 2025 Grants Program focuses on projects in three main areas:
Arts and Culture
Projects that ensure the participation of various social groups and promote cultural change, particularly through the combination of art and ecology.
European Civil Society
Projects that strengthen the role of civil society, support democratic processes and journalism, fight disinformation, and promote media literacy.
Climate and Environment
Projects that support the transition to sustainable resource use, including through the use of renewable energy sources, increased energy efficiency, and the fight against greenhouse gas emissions.
How to Apply?
The application process consists of two stages:
Submission of Project Plan
The deadline for submitting project plans is February 10, 2025.
Submission of Full Proposal
For selected project plans, the deadline for submitting full proposals is April 25, 2025.
Projects that are successfully selected will be announced in July 2025, and funding will begin on August 1, 2025, continuing until December 31, 2027.
Funding Amount
The Allianz Foundation provides funding for projects in amounts ranging from €80,000 to €200,000. Projects may receive support for a period of up to 24 months.
Deadline
