A new opportunity has opened to receive grants from the Small Projects Fund under the “Environment” priority within the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 program. This program aims to foster cross-border cooperation and preserve the environment in the border regions of Poland and Ukraine.

What is the Interreg NEXT Program?

The Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine program supports sustainable cross-border development between Poland and Ukraine. It operates under the European Territorial Cooperation and the Neighborhood Instrument, focusing on addressing environmental challenges in the border areas.

The program funds projects that:

Improve waste management: The program encourages implementing modern sorting and recycling systems. It also supports educational campaigns that teach communities about responsible waste disposal.

Promote the transition to a circular economy: Innovations aimed at reusing resources, recycling materials, and creating sustainable business models receive funding.

Raise environmental awareness: The program supports organizing educational events, information campaigns, and programs that engage communities in preserving the environment.

Funding: Grants cover up to 90% of eligible project costs.

Expert support: Participants can access consultations from leading specialists in ecology and sustainable development.

Educational opportunities: The program offers seminars, training sessions, and practical events to enhance knowledge and skills.

Participation conditions and deadlines:

For whom: Non-profit organizations from the border regions.

Contest budget: €5,111,345.

Application deadline: January 31, 2025.

Projects must be completed by: December 31, 2027.

Application submission: Submit applications via the online WOD2021 system.
